TrashTree out of the Sea

Make your own Tree with Trash out of the Sea.

On every beach in the world you are, you will find trash.

Op elk strand in de wereld waar je ook komt, zul je troep vinden. Vooral plastic. Veel achtergelaten, nog meer aangespoeld. De visserij (groter dan ooit)haalt nu de zeeën leeg van leven maar laat rotzooi achter. Touwen en stukken visnet zul je op elk strand vinden. Mijn TrashTree bestaat uit aangespoelde voorwerpen die ik terplekken vind, verzamel en aan elkaar bind tot een uitdraag boom. Met dit project wil ik zichtbaar blijk geven aan de vervuiling waar we allemaal deel van uit maken. Door vuil te verheffen tot iets moois wat aandacht trekt wil ik graag mensen bewust maken dat alles in elkaar overloopt en alles deel van elkaar is, ook wat we doen, wat we gebruiken en hoe we denken. De TrashTree is een vormgeving van de plek zelf. De TrashTree zou het opruimen van afval iets gemakkelijker kunnen maken omdat het vuil al gebundeld is om weggegooid te worden.

On every beach in the world where you are, you'll find junk. Especially plastic. Many left behind even more washed up. Fishing (larger than ever) gets now the seas empty of life but leave mess. Ropes and fishing net pieces you'll find on every beach. My trash tree consists of stranded LOCALLY items I find, collect and tie together into a spreading tree. With this project, I visibly demonstrate to the pollution that we all are a part. With dirt to elevate attention to something beautiful that I want to make people aware that everything runs into each other and everything is part of each other, what we do, what we use and how we think. The trash tree is a design of the site itself. The tree would trash the disposal of waste can make a little easier because the dirt is already bundled discarded.
